Spoonophilia?

  Be afraid be very afraid.
This is a post is pointless and dedicated to my weird obsession with using a spoon.

The other day I telling my husband that I have come to the conclusion I'm a Spoonophile.
He just nodded his head and listened attentively.

I love Ice Cream. In fact I'm an Ice Cream fiend!
I like cereal. At the moment I'm addicted to Cheerios
I like pudding. Chocolate please
I like yogurt and can crave Strawberry.
I like apple sauce.
I like most soup. As long as it's not watery. Yuck!
I like hot cocoa and have been known to try and spoon it when it's to hot. (when I was little I'd stick a spoon in my strawberry or chocolate milk to "Stir" it but I would always mange to get a few slurps off the spoon first.
What do all these things have in common?

You can eat most with a
    Spoon
Yup, I think I figured it out. I'm a spoonophile. That's why I like all those things.
Case in point. When everyone else grabs a fork to eat their pie ala mode I grab a spoon. In any case if there is ice cream and spoon handy I'll take the spoon. Eating ice cream with a fork is just wrong. Wrong, I say!
When I was little I really liked getting a sample of ice cream at Baskin Robbins before I made my choice. I think it was that little pink spoon. The long handled spoon you get with a milkshake or iced tea is one of my favs.
Remember the spork? I liked them when they'd make they're way onto my cafeteria tray as a kid.

I don't mind forks. Unless, the prongs are too sharp, long or bent (ouch, I really hate when they are all going different directions)

So yes, I must have Spoonophilia or something.
Then, my attentive husband said matter of factly "That's all true but consider this. Don't you always ask fork for your mac n cheese at Sheetz?"

Thud! Crud! He's right!   Whoosh! there goes my theory right down the drain.

Are you a Spoonophile?

       Odd enough post?

  1. I'm a spoonophile too!! For me it doesn't even have to do with what I eat with them. I just love spoons in general. They're just so lovable.
